Abstract
Application demands for several gigabits per second data throughput could be fulfilled using available unlicensed 60GHz band. There are several standardization activities that define systems for such tasks with channel bandwidth of at least 2GHz. Here we present several solutions for 60GHz antenna components based on linearly polarized (dipole) element. The four antennas presented have one dimensional or two dimensional configurations that result in desired radiation pattern and maximal gain. Initial measurement of prototypes show satisfactory results and proof the concept.
