Abstract
In this paper we analyze generalized type-II hybrid ARQ procedure using rate-punctured convolutional (RCPC) codes for balanced, unbalanced, and correlated MIMO orthogonal STBC systems with Rayleigh propagation. Parameters of the corresponding finite state Markov chain (FSMC) model are derived using an SNR partition method based on equal-state duration. Analytical results for throughput and packet error rate (PER) are given as well and validated by simulations for different values of round trip delay.
