Abstract :
In this paper is proposed an algorithm for the selection and specification of three-phase induction motors (MIT), using the equivalent circuit parameters. The equivalent circuit parameters are calculated with manufacter´s data. With the circuit parameters is possible to select a MIT that better takes account of load characteristics. The algorithm result´s are compared with traditional methods. Experimental tests were made with the motors of the Laborato´rio de Otimizac¸ão e Sistemas Motrizes (LOSIM) of Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei (UFSJ), for the experimental verification of the algorithm proposed. Finally, it is made the comparison between theoretical and experimental results of proposed methodology.
