  • Abstract
We report simulations performed with a computer model of propagated excitation in the three-dimensional anisotropic human ventricular myocardium. The model employs both differential-equation approach and cellular-automata approach in simulating cardiac propagation phenomena in a large network of excitable elements. In our simulations, the main focus was on comparison of extracellular electric and magnetic fields for different cases of anisotropy. According to the computations, the anisotropy has larger influence on the magnetic field than on the electric potential.
