Abstract :
Interstitial surface is a quantitative measure of chronic renal damage that correlates with renal function at the time of biopsy and correlates with the prognosis of renal disesase. Calculation of this parameter is very time consuming and depends on the ability of the observer. Renal interstitium can be viewed as a texture. For this reason, we study the utility of grey level granulometry as a quick and objective method to measure chronic renal damage.
