Abstract :
This paper presents a time-domain system for microwave breast cancer detection. The experimental system uses wideband antennas and improved tissue phantoms. Results showing tumor detection using the proposed system are given for various tumor sizes and locations, as well as for different antenna arrangements. Favorable layouts of the antenna array are identified.
