Abstract :
The stochastic equivalence with the realistic radio propagation environment is a crucial assumption behind geometry-based stochastic channel models (GSCM). Within the 3GPP SCM and WINNER models, the global properties of the underlying stochastic process are expressed by Large-Scale Parameters (LSP), describing the distribution of the transmitted power over different dimensions of the channel. In this paper, we perform the characterization of Large-Scale Parameters within Dresden, Germany. The investigated environment with given antenna deployment can be classified as urban macro cell. The obtained parameters are compared with the corresponding WINNER II/+ parameters. In this way we validate the WINNER model, but also empirically verify how much variation within the same scenario can be expected when measurements are performed in different cities.
