Abstract
Considering simulated data from a Doppler sample volume with an uniform velocity, the maximum likelihood velocity estimate is compared to alternative blood velocity estimates obtained by the crosscorrelation model method and Doppler processing. It is shown that the performance of this method in terms of bias and standard deviation is on the same order as other mentioned approaches.
