Abstract :
In this paper, Multiple integration (MI) technique and Magnitude optimum (MO) criterion have been applied in control of multivariable processes by using inverted decoupling approach. While inverted decoupling approach has several advantages over other multivariable control approaches, the application of MI and MO techniques offers additional advantages. Namely, decoupler and controller parameters can be calculated either from the process time-responses (e.g. step-responses) or from the matrix of process transfer functions. This can significantly simplify implementation of the method in practice. The control performance on some tested process models was very good.
