Abstract
Cognitive radio is a radio communication technique, where unlicensed or cognitive users monitor the spectrum for the existence of licensed (primary) users and have a communication capability when the primary users don´t transmit their data. This technique needs an effective spectrum sensing because of the not disturbing the primary users. In lots of licensed digital cellular communication system pilot tone transmitting is done because of channel estimation, synchronization etc. In this paper, it is demonstrated that it is done an effective pilot tone detection for the supporter of the faster and more effective spectrum sensing implementation, with not disturbing the primary users and using original DTV broadcasting data in digital television (DTV) broadcast system which has pilot tone transmitting characteristic. Goertzel Algorithm is used in pilot tone detection and pilot tone has been detected errorless on studies on original DTV signal records.
