Abstract :
This contribution reports about application of the commercially available semiconductor saturable mirrors (SAM) with multiple quantum wells with high depth of modulation for passive mode-locking of a quasicontinuously pumped highly doped Nd:YAG laser in bounce geometry, resulting in generation of 5 times shorter single 19 ps pulses with energy of 25 μJ directly from oscillator.
