Trend objects in supervisory control

Supervisory control application forms a core for comprehensive control of industrial processes. Industrial application of this character consists of many components providing the whole supervisory control system functionality. The most important issues in supervisory control are data acquisition from technological process level, visualization of process together with control function, alarm situations indication, display trend of process variables and other components. This article presents graphical objects used in visualization screens to show what is happening at technological level of controlled process with trend objects as an important part of supervisory control application, using software products from Wonderware Corp.
