Abstract :
A simulator for a Satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system can be categorized according to its functional use: Engineering Simulator or Mission Simulator. An Engineering Simulator provides a high fidelity infrastructure for the SAR system design team to determine or tweak the parameters for the system to realize the requirements. On the other hand, a Mission Simulator mimics the behavior of the whole system for mission planning or training purposes.
