Abstract
In this study, a mini model satellite that measures pressure, the temperature and its location. The Project is called as “cansat”. It is the combined name of the “can” and “satellite” words. Can-sized and can-shaped CANSAT - it is new trend in Turkey - this is the first step to reach the space and its technology. This micro-satellite will have lots of capabilities after adding electronic equipments, sensors and GPS. CANSAT is provided to take a certain altitude by an R/C aircraft. Then it is allowed to free fall from the R/C aircraft and it can land on ground with the help of a parachute which we produce. The mission objectives are; temperature, pressure, altitude and humidity measurement, landing to the desired point. Also after measuring these data, they will be sent them to the central database. These capabilities are provided with the sensors and GPS which they´re readymade. These sensors will mount to electronic signal precisely and also GPS receiver will mount the same signal. The radio receiver will install to RF module to have connection with the micro-satellite. CANSAT project is a chance to use theoretical knowledge in practice for students.
