The optoelectronic measurement method is put forward to measure the height of the burst point in the air of bouncing projectile in this paper. This method builds the mathematical model by making use of the projectile doing the uniformly retarded motion after it bounces into the air. This method includes the instrument of sonic transducer, the light screen, the flame detector and the twin channel chronograph, and it calculates the height of the burst point by the time intervals of several characteristic points cooperating with the parameters of the light screen by the formula. This paper has done the uncertainty analysis for the proposed method. The result proved this method has a high-accuracy of measurement, a good instantaneity and a high reliability and it is simple and convenient to integrate. This method is fit for the category of measuring the height of the point of burst point as well as the civil aerial shell explodes in the air.
