Abstract :
The following paper presents solutions to execute the hands-on training and introduce students to the measurement and control systems. Embedded systems are of a great importance to the contemporary computer science and electronics, so they must be present in the program of studies. The application of two modern hardware platforms is presented for both didactic and engineering tasks. They are National Instruments CompactRIO system and the dedicated development board with ARM processor. These solutions are presented, then their applications described. Their roles in the student laboratory and during the development of the measurement system are introduced. Finally, future prospect fur such equipment in the higher technical education are considered.
