Abstract
Tc-DMSA renal scintigraphy is widely accepted as the most sensitive method for evaluating renal parenchym damage like renal scars. Both qualitative and quantitative evaluation standards are used for improving DMSA scintigraphy interpretation. DMSA scan region of interest detection is the first step towards defect revealing and renal morphology evaluation. This paper considers an approach of using isotropic undecimated wavelet transform and isocontours in order to improve DMSA scan analysis and meaningful visual information extraction from these images.
