Abstract
In this paper, two new techniques are proposed to accelerate the standard program for optimum linear-phase FIR filter design. By using these techniques separately, the time needed for the design of linear-phase FIR filters can be reduced up to 2.5 times. Combined with other known techniques, new methods can improve the execution time up to 6 times.
