  • Abstract
    The fast growth of the wireless data transmission requires reliable and high data-rate modulation techniques that can cope with impairments of the time-varying multipath channels. The current demands are aimed at using the Internet anytime and anywhere. The main constraint to achieving these demands is the mobility. Suppression of Doppler spreading effects caused by high velocity of moving objects represents a challenging task. Hence, in this paper we present an application of multicarrier system based on the Affine Fourier transform (AFT-MC) for transmission in aeronautical satellite channels. We analyse the AFT-MC in terms of interference suppression, spectral efficiency, data rate and bit error rate (BER) in aeronautical satellite channels. It will be shown that AFT-MC has good performance in aeronautical satellite channels.
