Abstract
Distributed Mode Loudspeakers (DML) represent a technical solution based on flat panel as sound source. Sound field is formed activating uniformly distributed sources of vibration in a flat plate using a special purpose electro acoustical exciter. This method of generating sound makes speaker radiation characteristics different from the one for electro - dynamic speakers. Those speakers could be applied in interior design, for mobile telephony and computer industry, the entertainment industry, etc. This paper presents results for frequency and directivity characteristics, and distortion measurements for different methods of their installation.
