New approch to video coding performance improvement using H.264/AVC standard

This paper seeks to provide an actual problem of video coding performance improvement when multimedia H.264/AVC standard is used. The obtained results are divided into more mutual interconnection parts. The first part provides results of analyses some coder performance improvement in H.264/AVC standard. The second part explains a selective intra-prediction and optimized inter-prediction methods in H.264/AVC standard. The third part described results of Subjective video quality assessment in H.264/AVC standard.
