  • Abstract
    This paper describes the AlfaNum Text-To-Speech (TTS) server architecture and communication protocol. The server produces almost naturally sounding speech. Client/server architecture makes the process of speech enabling an arbitrary web page very straight forward and efficient. Additionally, the described architecture relaxes the client side hardware requirements. The main functionalities of AlfaNum TTS server and its first applications are described in the paper.
