Simulation of user plane in IEEE 802.11s mesh networks

In this paper we describe the new medium access function that is defined in IEEE 802.11s standard, which is developed as support of 802.11 WLAN standard for wireless mesh networks. We evaluate performance of wireless mesh 802.11s network, using two different methods of medium access - EDCA (Enhanced Distributed Channel Access) and MDA (Mesh Deterministic Access). This evaluation is done by analysing the effective channel throughput and PER (Packet Error Rate) value for these two cases.
