Data glove and virtual environment — A distance monitoring and rehabilitation solution

This paper presents a low-cost data glove based on a new kind of flexible sensor with a special data processing circuit. The captured human hand movements are visualized with the aid of a 3D hand model, giving the possibility to save, load and visual processing of data. In this direction a patient-therapist e-rehabilitation software unit and corresponding procedure is presented.
