Abstract :
This paper deals with accuracy testing of new fault location method for medium voltage power lines, which is based on the adaptation of triangulation principle. There is a short description of method´s principle and calculation algorithm at the beginning, which is followed by description of data acquisition needed for fault position calculation. The results of method´s testing on simulation model and on physical 3-phase scale model of simple 22 kV power line are presented too. Because the structure of testing power line was quite simple, the method was also tested on adapted IEEE test feeder. Obtained results are presented and discussed at the end of this paper.
