Abstract :
Design and measurements of a size-reduced specific RFID tag antennas are described in this paper. The tag should work when placed on optical fiber cable, i.e. on cylindrical structure composed of metal with thin dielectric layer. During the design process, the tag surrounding is taken into account, i.e. we have designed a tag that can work in a vicinity of a metal surface. The numerical and measured results are compared and further optimization options are considered.
