Abstract :
Investigation results of sampling device with peak detecting and algorithm of digital signal processing developed by authors for automated measurement of settling times of fast D/A converters are presented. The analysis of influence of different time scale transformation methods, internal noise and other noises of sampling device with peak detecting to the measurement results is presented. A method of reduction of noises of the measurement signal by using an ideal comb filter in the frequency domain and averaging of filtered signals in time domain has been investigated. It is shown that such method ensures significant reduction of white and 1/f noise in the measurement signal. Results of the analysis of the developed digital signal processing algorithm are submitted.
