The use of IMS for cloud based services control and management

Cloud computing as defined by NIST is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. Focus of this paper will be on identifying the capabilities and requirements that need to be standardized in a cloud environment for successful deployment of the Cloud computing service. IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is a standardized architecture that ensures interoperability and simplifies integration of cloud services while supporting regulatory, QoS and capacity requirements.
