Destination information system in the function of forming an identity for Zadar County as tourist destination

This article elaborates the importance of implementing the destination information system (DIS) as an instrument of forming the identity of Zadar County as tourist destination. The introductory part treats DIS in current market conditions, as a generic instrument which is very important for tourist destinations. In the concluding part it is asserted that tourist destinations must pay necessary attention to the collecting, processing, storing and disseminating of information, which should result with adequate messages, later conveyed to the tourism market.
