Abstract :
Growing numbers of people have wireless mobile devices and use public access points to connect to the Internet and enter corporate networks and virtual working spaces. Cloud computing has further helped make business easier and perhaps less costly, because this new technology has eliminated the need for on-site information systems. In recent years software for mobile devices has advanced greatly, but so has malicious code. Trends show that both the number of mobile phone users and incidences of malware infections are on the rise. Users, who are unaware of the many threats and risks in cyberspace and use free downloadable software indiscriminately, are evidently the weakest links in information security. Many software developers haven´t yet chosen to standardize and certify all their products therefore individuals and corporations must deal with information security issues on their own. New protective measures are constantly under development, but changes and adaptations will always be needed. Corporations should adopt efficient safety policies and continuously educate employees about potential hazards in cyberspace.
