  • Abstract
We analyze experimental results of cutting and milling processes. To estimate the region of chatter appearance we perform analysis of corresponding signals using the suitable stochastic Langevin equations. This procedure, in which a non-parametric model is considered, provides tools for estimating a machining process noise level. It was shown and noise level and instabilities in the process of turning and/or milling are important aspects of the formation of chatter vibration.
