Abstract
Recently introduced DB boundary is a hypothetical surface, on which the cancellation of normal components of the D and B vector occurs. Such a surface behaves either as PEC or PMC, depending whether the incident plane wave is polarized TE or TM, respectively. Basic EM properties of an artificial surface based on recently proposed DB unit cell at frequency band of 8 GHz are investigated numerically in various waveguide environments. Measurement results of the experimental unit cell operating in RF 300 MHz frequency band of are reported.
