Abstract
This paper describes a new software for solid state microwave amplifier design. The software has been developed for a PC Windows environment with the Borland C++ programming language and using object oriented techniques. All steps of the design of small signal microwave amplifier are supervised by this extensible software: transistor choice, gain and noise analysis, single and multiple frequencies matching, lumped elements and hybrid microstrip and stripline circuit design, and biasing circuits for FET and bipolar transistors. Many kinds of graphics and data files are available for amplifier analysis: transistor s2p data file, input and output constant gain circles for single and multiple frequencies, maximum gain, input and output stability circles, output gain and scattering parameters graphics.
