Abstract :
The field strength or transmission loss prediction is a very important question in the mobile radio systems planning and design. A wide variety of approaches have been developed for the prediction in different conditions. So, the task of selecting an appropriate method, which can be useful in a particular situation, is complex and difficult. A practical comparison of current methods is given in the paper. To verify their prediction accuracy, field tests have been carried out in Belgrade urban area at 950 MHz and the measured and predicted values were compared.
