New subsidies for renewables

The paper describes the experience of the author while serving in Committee of Regions, as a supporting expert for the Repporteur Mr. W. Stepien, who was presenting the opinion on the future development of the renewables energy sources in the European Parliament on the 31st of January 2013. The information presented in this papers is limited only to the technical and economic aspects of the RES development pointing the need for new subsidy schemes both nationally and across the European Union. This paper is based on the original version of the opinion worked out by the author in November 2012 and should be seen as his own views.
