Empowering communities on line: A Massive Open Online Community on App Development and Entrepreneurship

This article analyzes the main foundations of the project “Empowering communities on line: A massive Open Online Community on App Development and Entrepreneurship”, aimed at fostering an entrepreneurial community across Spain and Latin American countries, where students can share experiences through a virtual global learning platform. The concept of community development transcends the very concept of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), which is offered under the unX platform. UnX, the first Ibero-American Community for Digital Development, was launched three months ago putting innovation at the core of the project (be it content, methodology or technology), is now an initiative involving more than 8,100 students.
