  • Abstract
    This paper presents a methodology that characterizes the load profile of each electricity consumer (residential, industrial, commercial, rural, etc.), according to its daily load curves for each period (dawn, morning, afternoon and night), and has been based on field assessments of consumer habits and ownership of consumers´ equipment / appliances. The work is the outcome of a research and development project, carried out by Daimon Engineering in partnership with CELPE, a utility company located in northeastern Brazil and supplies over 3 million consumers (approximately 8.8 million inhabitants).
