  • Abstract
    Patents are the best indicators of innovative development. It is possible to identify appearance of next-generation technologies, lines and paces of their development by using patent analysis. This scientific research was conducted to study the problem of the knowledge extraction from the patents in the area of radio electronics for the designing new engineering solutions for dielectric element´s base. A new concept of <;<;patent content knowledge>> was introduced as knowledge contained in the full-text and images of the patents. Trends and paces of the development were discovered by using time series in the area of interest. Various data mining and knowledge extraction technologies were analyzed and utilized. A new method of “innovation tree” construction is proposed. It is effective for the technological area identification and monitoring up to a single relevant patent.
