Abstract :
A functional expansion model is proposed for the control of nonlinear processes. The functional expansion formulation allows the straightforward computation of high order expansions from first principle models. Together with the partitioned model inverse and the internal model control scheme, nonlinear control laws are computed for both minimum and nonminimum phase systems. A simulation example is presented.
