Abstract
The JTC method is a very powerful tool in optical processing systems. The method is well known and extensively used. The evaluation of 2D correlation functions in image analysis is computationally demanding and the JTC method offers a very efficient solution. The experimental results published on the last Carnahan Conference demonstrated the limits for a direct applicability of JTC in identification (fingerprints, faces). This paper discusses some practical problems related to possible SLM as a crucial part of JTC setup limiting the data throughput.
