  • Abstract
    The synthesis of large thinned planar arrays with arbitrary lattice is addressed. A novel strategy based on statistical density tapering and genetic algorithms is developed to efficiently deal with large number of unknowns limiting the computational burden. Selected numerical results are reported to show the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
