Abstract :
Technologies and services of Japan´s infrastructure systems have the highest levels in the world but the businesses have been deployed mostly inside Japan. In order to deploy Japan´s infrastructure systems globally, Japanese government came up with a new policy by the name of the Strategy for Export of Infrastructure Systems and started to support Japanese firms. To succeed in the global deployment of Japan´s infrastructure systems, there are several key points that Japanese firms should take care of. In this research, case studies of various infrastructure industries were done and the key points for success were extracted so that Japanese firms will be able to deploy their businesses in the world smoothly. The industries studied include water industry, energy industry, railway industry and commercial aircraft industry. It was found that the major key points would be to have business scales competitive with global firms, to have influence with infrastructure operations by standardization, ruling, negotiation between governments etc., and to collaborate closely with Japanese government in sales and finance.
