Abstract :
Home networking technologies for improving convenience of home appliances have recently been receiving much attention. There are some standards of home networking technology, such as ECHONET Lite, UPnP/DLNA, and so on. However, such technologies control and manage specific home devices. In addition, the way of controlling and managing devices from outside of a network is not defined in the standards. On the other hand, PUCC allows controlling and managing such devices from outside of networks. To solve those issues, we have developed ECHONET Lite-compliant home appliances control system using PUCC protocols from smart devices. In this papaer we describe the developed system in detail, and verify its usefulness.
