Abstract :
In our research, within the commercial facilities we conducted an experiment and field survey relating to shop visit or drop-in behavior, and established a behavior model incorporating planned visits and unplanned drop-in visits to conduct shop-around agent simulations, and assessed the results. Firstly, we conducted an experiment examining behaviors observed at the time of walking by a shop and a field survey concerning the visit rate. Next, based on the experiment and field survey results, a range-attractiveness model for drop-in visits was established. Then, using two floor plans for the commercial facilities as case studies, shop-around agent simulations considering the degree of a shop´s attractiveness were conducted, followed by analysis and assessment of the results. Taking two floor plan models as case studies, shop-around simulations were conducted, and in both Cases X and Y, Type B had a higher average number of shops visited, compared to Type A. In Case Y, the following shops had many unplanned visits: shops adjacent to the No. 1 shop in ranking of the basic ability to attract customers, and shops close to a link with a higher traffic rate.
