Abstract :
Energy requirement is one of the major concerns in today´s world. Thinking at par on energy, it is the one that is developing the world distinctly. Wind power is the green renewable source of energy competing with the fossil fuels in the electricity market. Wind energy system employs various technical solutions among which wound rotor induction machines are widely used because of several advantages over squirrel cage induction machine. In this project, we explore the operation of wound rotor induction machine for a 2 MW wind turbine system. The steady state analysis and dynamic state analysis study is carried out by employing rotor resistance control and rotor power control.
