Abstract
There are many Arabic websites contain phrases from the Quran. Regrettably, the Quran texts appeared in a majority of websites were suffering from many mistakes and typos. Hence, finding the correct form of Quran verses has become almost impossible without referring to a verified printed manuscript. Therefore, it is important for many web users to verify the Quran words they read on a website. In this paper, we propose a real-time interactive verification of Quran phrases from web against the famous referenced recital of Hafs. We implement a web service for web browsers, which incorporates efficient search algorithms within a customized user interface that supports interactive verification of the highlighted words in the Quran with/without diacritic marks. It uses algorithms of Arabic Natural Language Processing (NLP) for tokenization. It also uses an approach for segmenting search words to make a verification match. The famous referenced recital of Hafs from Asim has been developed in a database to be searched. Experimental results demonstrate the success of the system for the samples taken to verify Arabic words with/without the diacritics in the Quran. The system can be considered an accreditation of the digital contents of the Quran on the web.
