Abstract :
The reefing line control design of parachute is very important to the safety of decelerator. In this paper, a Fluid structure interaction method is proposed to analyse the very flexible parachute reefing force. With the proposed method, the parachute opening shock can be assessed with a given reefing line length and cutting line time. In addition, through this method the cutting line time can be studied without high cost experiment.
