Abstract
Nautical traffic simulation has been helpful to provide information of traffic details that can be contribute to provide information for the safety of ports and waterways. There are extensive simulations that try to mimic the ship traffic flow. However, none of the existing models describe the steering behavior of individual ship during the passage. This paper intends to introduce some steering behavior of individual ship, which is very common in the real practice. We believe that the details of steering behavior will be conductive to develop more realistic nautical traffic simulations.
