Abstract :
Voltage fluctuation affects pick-up force characteristics of relay´s electromagnetic system. Then, it will have influences on the output performance of relay like pick-up time and normally open contact force. So, it may cause the false operation or failure of relay which may affect the stability and safety of power system. In this paper, the variation of coil circuit and electromagnetic field are qualitatively analyzed to predict the changing rule of pick-up characteristics under voltage fluctuation. Voltage fluctuation is simulated and calculated by FORTRAN program based on the combine simulation of ADAMS and ANSYS. Qualitative analysis is verified by the simulation. This method is suitable for the analysis of electrical apparatuses and helps to the research on limitation of grid swing and reliability of power elements.
