  • Abstract
The popularization of automobiles aggravates the shortage of petroleum and causes some problems, such as air pollution and global warming. Consequently, massive use of electric vehicles has become an inevitable trend. Charging station is an important infrastructure which is necessary for the developments of electric vehicles, and for the construction of the charging stations, the sitting of electric vehicle charging station is very important. To begin with, this paper puts forward the method to predict the number of electric vehicle in the planned area, and predict the demand for the electric vehicle charging station by the number. Then this paper solves the sitting of electric vehicle charging station and the division of service area with the objective of minimizing the social cost produced by the users on their way to charging station by Voronoi diagram. Finally, this paper uses the air circle nature of Voronoi diagram to determine the site of new electric vehicle charging station.
